Blogging tips on making money online through blogs

Blogging tips on making money online through blogs

For most people, blogging is a platform where people discuss personal things and get to share ideas, pictures, opinions and even information with other internet surfers who happen to have the same idea and interest. However, it is not the only thing you can do with the blogs. Instead you can make money through the help of blogging. Many people are making some cash online with blogging and some of them even earn their living solely from the help of their blogs. There are so many methods for bloggers to make a living and we are going to discuss that in few of the common ways that is used by bloggers to make income online.

Blogging as a source of income #1: Affiliate Marketing

Bloggers can earn cash through affiliate marketing. When you sign up with an affiliate program, you will be given a unique affiliate link that you can use to promote your selected affiliate products, if any sale made, you earn the commission. Affiliate marketing is one of the great options for bloggers in earning money for the internet. There are various affiliate products available for different types of niche market. You also need to find the products that are in relation to your blog and even promote them through your affiliate link. Whenever there is sale made through the link, you earn the commission. By using such method, you not only advertise your client’s products but also your blogs content as well. Thus, increases your traffic given that the product is famous.

Blogging as a source of income #2: Pay-per-click Ads

Bloggers can even generate income from the pay-per-click advertisements that are given by the major search engines like Google as well as Yahoo. It is simple and easy to apply an account and then integrate a simple code to the blog’s template. Also, the contextual ads that are in relation to the blog themes will automatically make and deliver to the blog. Whenever, the visitors click on the ads, bloggers will earn the money which may range from a penny to a few dollars per click.

Blogging as a source of income #3: Product Reviews

You can even search for the merchants that are simply looking for bloggers that are going to review their products individually from the internet or to make things simple, you can just register at the portals that links both merchants and reviewers, this way things are much more faster. They use their blogs in order to generate that traffic and monetize their visitors before they channel the traffic to their membership website. By using a membership website with blogs that work as a gateway to a membership site will increase the conversion rate from the given visitors to members that aid the bloggers in making repeated income online.

Article Marketing and 5 Effective Ways in Avoiding Rejection

One of the best ways in promoting a website is through Article marketing. Article marketing is quite simple, very effective, and usually free (or very low cost).

However, for article marketing to work, your articles must be accepted by article directories, and these have to be published by webmasters and eZine publishers.

Basically, there are 5 simple ways to avoid getting your articles rejected. Simply take note of these 5 things to avoid, and for sure your article marketing will be successful.

Things to avoid when it comes to article marketing:

Number 1: Poor Writing

Being a great writer is not a requirement in getting your articles accepted in most article directories. But you do have to be at least moderately okay. Not everyone is talented in writing. As much as possible don’t be afraid to ask someone to review your articles, this is one way of assurance.

Number 2: Bad Grammar

Not everyone is that good when it comes to writing, grammar and submitting articles in a language (usually English) other than their own.

Article directories and publishers expect articles to be ready to publish, with little or no editing required. Minor issues may be overlooked, but when thousands of article submissions are coming in per day, it common that some articles are easily rejected when seen with wrong grammar.

But this doesn’t mean you don’t qualify for this, you can find someone who can help edit your articles and most editing only takes about 5 to 10 minutes.

Number 3: Badly Edited (Or Badly Spun) Articles

Most articles that are well-written sometimes contain a number of minor typos – misspelled words, missing words, etc. These are the sorts of errors that could have been caught by any word processor or even just reading the article before hitting send.

“Article spinning” software has been the cause of this problem. Basically, article spinning is the buying of rights to articles written by others. Which are then processed through special software that randomly replaces words and phrases. Their idea is to improve their article marketing by submitting unique articles.

Unless one overdoes this (refer to #4), there is really just one problem. Article spinning software often produces improper words or clumsiness. Sometimes you can’t determine whether an article was written by a non-English speaker or by article spinning software.

However, the solution is simple. Simply edit your articles manually before sending them, or have someone to edit them for you. Check both spelling and grammar. Then check how it flows.

Number 4: Duplicate (Or Almost-Duplicated) Articles

This one is related with #3, as it seems to be largely a result of private label rights content and “article spinning” software. There are some authors who continuously submit multiple copies of the same article with little difference with each article.

Avoid this cause it can cause an author to be banned, and you don’t want that to happen to you.

Number 5: Plagiarized Articles

This is probably the most annoying thing that would get your article rejected, copying and pasting works of others and claiming them to be yours will only get you banned in an instant.

There is nothing wrong with using Wikipedia or other sites as one of your sources – there are several good sources out there, but use a few more sources too, not just a single site, then add your own original thoughts and put it into your own words, not simply copying them.

Simply avoid these 5 and you’ll be on your way to success. If you can write and submit many articles and manage to avoid these 5 things, most of your articles will be accepted and will be extremely successful in such a short time.

Effective SEO Tips in Increasing Blog Traffic

While it is true that “content is king” in blog publishing, writing blog content is not the only activity that a blogger can do to attract readers. Quality SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is important as well when it comes to this kind of marketing.

There are actually several SEO tips in making a blog into a highly trafficked site. And this is what we’ll show you below.

Keywords should be placed Strategically

When it comes to search engines, always consider search engines like Google and Yahoo, which send out automated web crawlers or “spiders” to categorize and rank published web sites and blogs on the web, do so by searching for relevant content through strategically displayed keywords.

So make sure to follow the following:

1. The title () tag of the website is always crawled (i.e. noticed) by search engine spiders, so try to make sure the blog with keywords is placed in the title tag to gain higher results in the search engines.

2. The heading () tags are also usually crawled. As much as possible your keywords should be present in each webpage.

3. Keywords placed as textual descriptions in the tags of images are also scanned by search engine spiders. This is one of the SEO tips that are crucial for graphics-driven posts.

4. Search engine spiders don’t ignore keywords in inbound or outbound links to blog sites. For inbound links from other websites to your blog, keywords should be a part of the anchor text (the clickable text in a link). For outbound links your URL link should have keywords on other people’s web pages.

5. Try to achieve the right number of keywords to preserve keyword density (how frequent the keyword appears). Bloggers have direct control over this metric, by writing blog posts with around 3% keyword density. More than that could annoy blog readers and might be seen as spamming. However, less than 7% may cause the spiders to miss the keyword for the blog.

6. Search engine spiders are also friendly toward keyword synonyms. Try using synonyms to limit keyword monotony in posts to optimize your blog site.

Linking for Ranking

Establishing quality links in the blog is another strategy worth doing, particularly incoming links from similar sites. Getting competitor sites to link to your blog is considered a major help that increases your blog’s status in your niche circle and search engine rankings as well.

Another tip is the setup of enduring inbound links. Aging links are favored by search engines, being interpreted as an endorsement by the linking website and acts as a proof of organic link-building.

As much as possible, avoid broken links at all cost. Search engines demote blog ranking if they find erroneous links.

Search Engine Algorithms

Search engines index and rank websites in accordance to their algorithms, although many SEO tips focus on keywords and link building because they’re common to most search engines. Google, in particular, uses sitemaps to index blogs and sites. The use of the robots.txt file is also another method that search engines utilize in ignoring or indexing a site. Use the file carefully to ban or un-ban certain portions of your site from search engine rankings. This is certainly one tip you need to carefully consider.

Basic Things on Online Affiliated Marketing

Online Affiliate Marketing functions as revenue for sharing ventures between a website owner and a certain online merchant. The website owner places advertisements on his websites to either aid in selling the merchant’s products or simply send potential customers to the merchant’s website in exchange for a share of the profits grained through it.

Affiliate Marketing Program

Affiliate marketing programs are sometimes called an affiliate program; but can be sometimes referred to as a pay-for-performance program or associate program. Basically, an affiliate program is a marketing tool for the e-business that makes it function, which is called merchant or advertiser that functions as a source of revenue for the e-business that participates in it, which is called an affiliate, associate or publisher.

There are practically three ways in earning money through affiliate marketing:

1) Pay per Click or Cost-per-click affiliate programs:

Each time a potential customer leaves the affiliate website through a click on the link that leads to the merchant’s website, a certain amount of money is then deposited into the affiliate’s account. This amount is dependent on the amount of the commission.

2) Pay per Lead or Cost-per-lead affiliate programs:

The merchant gives the affiliate a fixed set amount depending on the visitors clicking on the link; this applies to this such as completing an online survey, registering at the site and other alternatives to it.

3) Pay per Sale or Cost-per-sale affiliate programs:

Every time a sale is made from advertising on the affiliate’s website, a certain percentage is given to the affiliate’s account.

The Amazon Story is practically the world’s largest bookstore that has one of the most successful examples of an affiliate program (which is called their associate program). Amazon currently has over 1 million affiliates, which basically means that over 1 million sites are actively promoting their products each single day. If you do the computations Amazon generates over 40% of its revenue through its affiliates program, this is over 3 billion dollars in revenue each year.

Affiliate Programs used as a Marketing Tool

The two major advantages to merchant:
1. being able to tie marketing effort directly to a lead or sales.
2. The merchant pays only for the acquired results.

The Advantages to affiliate:
1. Additional sources of revenue for affiliate who also sells products/services are gained
2. A primary source of revenue for affiliate/s who offers services or information

Here are two approaches for operating A Successful Affiliate Marketing:

1. Try to acquire a huge and affiliate membership. The Amazon associates programs have over 1 million members which are very much diverse:
- RVPart – Sells parts related to recreational vehicles and motor homes.
- Dilbert – Functions as a site for viewing cartoons, playing games, sending electronic greeting cards and so much more.
- Books for Managers – Is a site for business related reviews and lists of the current top-selling business-related books by Business week, the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, and other publications.

2. Try to acquire a smaller number of highly effective affiliates that possess a high volume of website traffic and offers web page content, products as well as services that are directly related to the merchant’s genre of products and services.

Knowing the Difference between Article Marketing and Traditional Article Writing

People usually get confused by this. They wonder why writers write articles with money not being the prime objective, of course, in the traditional sense; one is paid by the articles made.

Article Marketing is not just simply “article writing” but rather, a new concept that’s used by web experts in making their business known over the web.

Basically, it’s all about link exchanging and distribution, the more websites who include a link to your own website, the more exposure you gain; this increases one’s chances on more sales.

Only drawback to Link Distribution is that there’s nothing about your link that’s unique. Because of this, links are now allowed to contain keywords or short words that make them more effective.

That’s what article marketing is, simple and does not require one to be a genius at writing. But rather, it’s about marketers and savvy web entrepreneurs who aim to increase their popularity on the web using an article to draw followers who’ll be interested in their products.

Article marketing also lets you place your creativity into it, and getting people to link your works and site requires much tactics.

Article marketing explained in 4 simple points:

1.) An article syndication site is needed to start Article Marketing.

2.) Written articles made by marketers and writers are collected by the site.

3.) A personal bio and link to their website is then required from the authors.

4.) These articles are then selected by other websites who want to elaborate something in the scope of their niche.

Nowadays, article writing is not all about generating money from the articles but rather targeted at ‘exposure’ over the web.

Exposure comes from your articles that do great at search engine results. This basically means that when you write on a certain topic and most people are interested in them, and then you’ve got yourself a good skill at that. By increasing your numbers of written article pertaining on that niche, your chances of getting linked and exposure continues to rise to the point you’ve reached the top search engine results, that’s the best reward one can get in writing articles.

So what kind of people should utilize Article Marketing as a way to become well-known and successful on the internet?

- Anybody who aims to make a product.

- Anybody that has a website.

- Anybody who aims to build a brand.

- Anybody that aims to make a web-based business that would eventually generate income in the long term.

The Characteristics of Web Articles:

- Short and Concise

- organized and easily understood

- Helpful and informative

- Has a Light promotional tone

- Should always point to your URL

You’re always free to hire someone who can write for you. If you really want to be a big brand name, it’d be better to find someone who‘s willing to “concept out” your articles.

A real copywriter to streamline aggressive marketing campaign is recommended to pitch a product that you will surely sell – the link at the end of your article.

Article Marketing is all about Link Distribution and information-luring readers. It’s not about getting prizes. It’s good old web marketing with creative writing twists.

Now that you have an idea on what article marketing is all about, I bet you’re ready to start on your own. So what’re you waiting for, time to make that first step in your career at article marketing.

What To Do When AdSense Serves The Wrong Ads

The most common frustrations among AdSense publishers are 1) Google serving inappropriate ads on their web pages, 2) low click-through rates and 3) low payouts per click.

This article discusses the first frustration, which is highly correlated with the other issues, and discusses what webmasters can do to combat it.

To begin, it is important to understand how Google determines what ads to serve via the AdSense program. This explanation goes back to April 2003 when Google acquired Santa Monica, CA-based Applied Semantics. Applied Semantics' products are based on its patented CIRCA technology, which understands, organizes, and extracts knowledge from websites and information repositories in a way that mimics human thought and enables more effective information retrieval. A key application of the CIRCA technology is that it allows Google to, without human intervention, understand the key themes on web pages in order to deliver relevant and targeted advertisements.

However, the CIRCA technology is not always accurate or appropriate to the page. For example, in a general web page about health topics, AdSense is currently serving ads for insulin even though only two words in one paragraph relate to insulin. Rather, the site is much more focused on dieting.

One explanation may be that the CIRCA technology is tied to keyword pricing and inventory (e.g., AdWords advertiser daily budgets), and that AdSense serves ads that it hopes to maximize revenues. However, this often violates a critical AdSense rule - if the ads do not relate to the topic discussed on the web page, visitors will not click on them. Likewise, TopPayingKeywords.com always tells clients never to try and trick AdSense. That is, if customers are coming to your page from a link or advertisement for one topic (e.g., hair styles), never try to create a page about an unrelated topic (e.g., mortgages), just because that unrelated topic is an expensive keyword. While you will be serving expensive ads, because the topics are not correlated, visitors are unlikely to click on them.

Getting AdSense to serve the correct ads is a trial-and-error process. In the health page example above, all it took to get AdSense to remove the insulin ads was to remove the paragraph in the text that mentioned insulin. Fortunately, AdSense often updates itself within just a few hours, so it's easy to keep modifying your site until the most relevant, and hopefully most expensive, ads are served.

Simpel Ways to Earn Money

Do you have skill in writing? here are some simpel ways to earn money, (I probably should have said easy ways to make money, rather than easy ways to make money, because there is a difference between simple and easy. But who cares, this is about how to make easy money quickly).

1. Make easy money online naming domains. The original idea comes from Dane Carson’s blog. While you can earn money as a contributor for services such as PickyDomains.Com, here is a better idea. Go to Google or any other search engine, find sucky domain names and contact their owners directly, offering them your services. The key to success is to make it 100% risk free. Inform your prospective clients that you’ll accept money only if they like your domain name. If you come up with one approved domain name a day and charge what PickyDomain charges, you can make $1500 a month. Another twist – come up with cool domain names, like SiteToRemember.Com or ItsMe.Com, register them yourself and sell them on the aftermarket.

2. eBay arbitrage. A lot of people like buying stuff on eBay, because it’s cheap. And some people never buy on eBay, because they are afraid of being ripped off. Here is your solution to making easy money on eBay. Go to Craigslist.Com and see what items people buy and sell most often. Look at prices. Then go to eBay and see, if you can get it cheaper. Once you find your niche, you can buy things on eBay (or better yet, act as a representative for an eBay powerseller) and sell them for a profit using local classifieds and Craigslist. You can do this online as well. Set up a proxy store, and when you get an order, simply buy the same item on eBay for less, substituting shipping address from your own to that of your buyer.

3. eBay copywriting. If you are good at copywriting, go to eBay and look for highticket items, like boats. Find auctions with totally sucky descriptions. Contact an owner and inform him or her that good description of his or her item is likely to increase the chances of that item being sold. Then offer your services for a 1% of the selling price. You can use free eBay software

4. Get Paid Writing Reviews. This idea comes from a blog called Business Ideas That Work. A site called SoftwareJudge.Com pays up to 50 dollars per good review. However, if you are good at reviewing software, you can do this on your own. Go to CNET or any other site that lists software. Find sites that don’t have any reviews or testimonials. Contact developers directly, offering them your review services. Good reviews and testimonials increases sales, so you shouldn’t have any difficulties convincing developers that they need your services. And you get free software and games too! Oh, and you don't have to limit yourself to software alone.

5. Social Bookmark Whoring (oops, I meant to say PR). This is really easy money online. RedDit and Digg can bring a crapload of traffic. And traffic means money. If you have experience creating linkbate titles and getting to the top, why not offer your services? Say, you charge 10 dollars for submitting news to RedDit, Digg, StumbleUpon, Furl, NewsVine, Fark and all the other social bookmarting sites. The key is to work only with interesting stories, so you don’t become a spammer. 10 news a day and you are 100 dollars richer. You can probably work out a deal with online PR agencies, because they are totally clueless about this.

6. Writing Google AdWords Ads. Every time I see “Cake Icing. Used And New. eBay.Com” type ads or “Four best sites on killing your wife”, it makes me wonder. Aren’t there any GOOD AdWords ads copywriters? Look’s like a great job to me. The ads are only three lines long and if you charge 10 bucks per ad, you can make a lot of money. And the customers are easy to find, too. Just look at all these terrible ads that Google displays on their search engine and contextual network.

7. Wacky blogs. Steve Pavlina gets over 300 dollars a day from AdSense alone, writing on wacky topics, like polyphasic sleep, astral projection and psychic development. Or take David Icke, who claims that president Bush in an alien and a reptilian. Your blog doesn’t have to be true, it just has to be interesting.

8. Blog whoring. There are a number of services, like PayPerPost.Com, that pay for promotional blogposts. Once again, you can do the same thing, cutting the middleman out.

9. Unique Personal Ads. Write memorable personal ads for online daters. Most personal ads suck. “Hi, my name is Bambie, I’m a Vergo, I’m 19 and I love dogs.” Here is my favorite personal ad. If people pay for resume writing, they might pay for a great personal ad.

10. Poet For Hire. This is nothing new. Still, if you love writing poetry, why not make some money with your rhymes.

Good luck!
