SEO Tips for Better Performance

There are certain basic on-site SEO tasks that any web master, business owner, or Internet Marketer needs to be aware of. And here are those major components:

1) Title Tags
- The title tag in your HTML Meta code tells the browser what to display in the title of the window at the top of the screen. Since it’s visible to the user, Google heavily relies on this text to determine what your site is about. That’s why it’s important that your title tag be filled with keywords relevant to your site. However, avoid repetition of this on your other pages. Different keyword phrases in your title tags should match your pages accordingly. Remember, SEO is all about helping the search engines identify what your site is all about.

2) The first H1 tag
– like the title tag, Google will look at the first H1 text to appear on your page which also signals what your page is all about. Use this wisely, and like the title tag, avoid repetitions.

3) The name of the page itself
– Plain English should be used for SEO. You will notice that WordPress uses this extensively in their blog software. I think it’s better if you can design your system without any variable data. This way it’s easier for the search engine as well as the end-user.
