Article Marketing and 5 Effective Ways in Avoiding Rejection

One of the best ways in promoting a website is through Article marketing. Article marketing is quite simple, very effective, and usually free (or very low cost).

However, for article marketing to work, your articles must be accepted by article directories, and these have to be published by webmasters and eZine publishers.

Basically, there are 5 simple ways to avoid getting your articles rejected. Simply take note of these 5 things to avoid, and for sure your article marketing will be successful.

Things to avoid when it comes to article marketing:

Number 1: Poor Writing

Being a great writer is not a requirement in getting your articles accepted in most article directories. But you do have to be at least moderately okay. Not everyone is talented in writing. As much as possible don’t be afraid to ask someone to review your articles, this is one way of assurance.

Number 2: Bad Grammar

Not everyone is that good when it comes to writing, grammar and submitting articles in a language (usually English) other than their own.

Article directories and publishers expect articles to be ready to publish, with little or no editing required. Minor issues may be overlooked, but when thousands of article submissions are coming in per day, it common that some articles are easily rejected when seen with wrong grammar.

But this doesn’t mean you don’t qualify for this, you can find someone who can help edit your articles and most editing only takes about 5 to 10 minutes.

Number 3: Badly Edited (Or Badly Spun) Articles

Most articles that are well-written sometimes contain a number of minor typos – misspelled words, missing words, etc. These are the sorts of errors that could have been caught by any word processor or even just reading the article before hitting send.

“Article spinning” software has been the cause of this problem. Basically, article spinning is the buying of rights to articles written by others. Which are then processed through special software that randomly replaces words and phrases. Their idea is to improve their article marketing by submitting unique articles.

Unless one overdoes this (refer to #4), there is really just one problem. Article spinning software often produces improper words or clumsiness. Sometimes you can’t determine whether an article was written by a non-English speaker or by article spinning software.

However, the solution is simple. Simply edit your articles manually before sending them, or have someone to edit them for you. Check both spelling and grammar. Then check how it flows.

Number 4: Duplicate (Or Almost-Duplicated) Articles

This one is related with #3, as it seems to be largely a result of private label rights content and “article spinning” software. There are some authors who continuously submit multiple copies of the same article with little difference with each article.

Avoid this cause it can cause an author to be banned, and you don’t want that to happen to you.

Number 5: Plagiarized Articles

This is probably the most annoying thing that would get your article rejected, copying and pasting works of others and claiming them to be yours will only get you banned in an instant.

There is nothing wrong with using Wikipedia or other sites as one of your sources – there are several good sources out there, but use a few more sources too, not just a single site, then add your own original thoughts and put it into your own words, not simply copying them.

Simply avoid these 5 and you’ll be on your way to success. If you can write and submit many articles and manage to avoid these 5 things, most of your articles will be accepted and will be extremely successful in such a short time.
